Already an International gospel artist, Sherwin has won the hearts of thousands of fans worldwide with 6 album to his credit, still he's in his mid twenties. His soon-to-be release, Elevation is a masterpiece to say the least. I have heard the project and once again Sherwin pours his heart and soul into his music. The album opens with the upbeat, foot-stomping song, "Claim It"...no matter how stiff you are or want to be; you'll be rocking to this! Sherwin claims his blessings and victory through this song. The next track on album is the title track, Elevation with it's international vibes that is sure to become a much sought after single at radio.
This album is one of this artist's best effort to date, and I'm sure that many are going to be blessed by it. When you think of Caribbean gospel music, you immediately think of straight up reggae...not so with Sherwin; he shows his most creative side on the uplifting praise & worship number "Just As I Am" that shows his delicate side... I really like this song. The album also include appearances by Gotee Records' Ayiesha Woods on the song, "Highest Praise" and Rhythm & Praise Diva and Grammy nominee, Shea Atkins on the bonus track. Written, arranged and produced by Sherwin Gardner, Elevation is one of the most fun and inspiring albums of 2007, and I see nothing but great things for this singer/songwriter/producer who as an artist has shared stages with the likes of Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Deitrick Haddon, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, BeBe Winans, CeCe Winans, Vickie Winans, Ben Tunker, Stitchie, Papa San, TD Jakes and others. Elevation will be available through Central South Distribution nationwide.
